About us
A new organisation dedicated to recognising cinematic excellence with an international outlook and a structured selection process.
What are the Axios Awards?
The Axios Awards were created to recognise filmmakers, performers and technical professionals for excellence demonstrated in films released during the relevant year.
Mission and values
The awards focus on the artistic, technical and narrative quality of each work. The motto, The merit over the agenda, expresses the aim of recognising cinematic achievement according to merit and excellence.
Founding city
Seville is established as the founding city of the awards. The organisation may designate alternative venues for ceremonies or associated events when appropriate.
Organisation
The awards distinguish between an Organising Committee, responsible for general planning and management, and an Independent Selection Committee, responsible for evaluating films, drawing up the Longlist, determining nominations and selecting the winners.
